I like Scriabin a lot and Horowitz is a giant of pianism. Aussie pianist Roger Woodward is regarded as one of Scr's better interpreters so we get to hear good performances. But I don't enjoy this piece.
ReplyDeleteI'd put it with Scr's difficult experimental 'cosmic' stuff, mostly from the end of his life where he got very weird, but some of that is enjoyable music too, similar to Debussy.
Well, you sure can't dance to it, that's a fact.
