 Good morning Paco World !!!

Both Daisy and I went camping. I spent two nights with Mr. Paco in the hospital. Daisy went to dog camp. We are back home and no more camping for us.

Mr. Paco keeps improving every day. The doctor is pleased with Mr. Paco's progress. His white blood count keeps coming down. He is on a liquid diet since yesterday and seems to be doing well on it. We are still trying to figure out how can you mess up the taste of chicken or beef broth. !!!!

No discharge date yet but we think it will be early next week.

Please keep praying for a complete recovery. He is reading the comments and enjoying hearing from you.

Thank you for your prayers and get well wishes.

Mrs. Paco and Daisy

  1. So glad to hear Paco is on the mend. And, Mrs. P, be sure to tell him, no pinching the nurses!

  2. I wanted to personally thank all of my readers for their kind wishes and prayers. Although I have recently felt like some unlucky schmuck who has been captured by Aztecs and, due to the incompetence of the high priests, has somehow contrived to survive the experience, I am slowly on the mend. It really is amazing what you can put up with when you have to. The surgeon and staff here at Novant Brunswick have been outstanding. And I am particularly grateful to Mrs. Paco for taking the initiative and providing updates - for which good service she deserves to be known by her real name: Bernardita. - Paco

Daisy deserves a break... make sure she gets all the steaks and burgers that Paco would have been eating all this time.

  7. Nice to hear from you Paco. Glad to hear you're doing better.
I'm pretty sure Daisy wants cheeseburgers though.

  8. A liquid diet eh? Might I suggest Guinness? It's a meal in itself. Cures every ailment. Great to here from you Paco. Your wife has been doing an amazing job keeping updated on your progress. Keep on the improve. Prayers from the other side of the world are ongoing.

  9. Hello Mrs P, Bernadita. Hello Paco, yeah it can be nice being fussed over in hospital when you're on the mend. Enjoy it.

  10. Yo, Paco! Yes, Madam Paco has been relentless in keeping us updated on your condition. For which, blessings will shower upon her!

    Get well soon!

And if you must pinch nurses, please ascertain their gender first.

  11. And he's back! Anonymously, at least.
Good to know that you continue to improve, Paco. And two thumbs up to the lady of the house, Bernardita, for her regular updates - assuming, of course, that two thumbs up is not considered obscene or unfriendly in her homeland.

  12. I was surprised that Chinese pilots gave Canadian pilots 'the middle finger' on a fly-by recently, because I myself did not know about that middle-finger thing until just a couple of decades ago, while I remember using a 'thumbs up' as an insult (with an expressive upward thrust) in my younger days. It seems weird how everyone does the middle-finger now.

  13. Bruce, it's because the middle finger is unambiguous (and because of movies and TV) whereas "thumbs up" could be good or bad, depending on who's doing it and there they're doing it.

  14. Mrs. Paco, we are so very grateful for your wonderfully crafted updates, especially in light of the stress you are under. God bless you!

Also, hopefully you had a bed and not the chair/recliner. I had to sleep in one of those chair/recliners when Richard was in the hospital. As for for chicken or beef broth: I still wonder how Shrimp Creole can have no flavor. I experienced that in the Army.
