In the final analysis, Senator Manchin turns out to be just another Democrat: "Chuck Schumer, Joe Manchin Strike Deal on Obamacare, Climate Change Bill".
We will not be saved by an exotic political cocktail consisting of Elon Musk, Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, Rand Paul, Chuck Grassley, general, but inchoate, discontent, and Donald Trump. Democrats cannot be trusted when it comes to exercising financial responsibility, Republican politicos cannot be trusted to do anything but talk and strike poses for the rubes back home, the odd billionaire's occasional scoffing at this or that Leftist attitude rarely if ever translates into broad ideological agreement with the Right, our low information lumpen citizens, if they vote at all, will continue to be guided by news outlets that are nothing but the propaganda arms of the Democratic Party, and, if the Democrats and RINOs have their way, Trump will wind up in a gulag. If positive change is to come about, it looks like we will have to drag ourselves from behind our figurative plowshares and get busy doing the thing most of us don't like - getting far more actively involved in politics, especially at the local level. Especially if we hope to avoid the eventuality of having to engage in that thing that is known as politics waged by other means.
The oft overlooked local level is crucial. These positions are steps to further control at higher levels. It's analogous to Progressive preschools.

There's not a lot more I can do other than try and convince my rapidly declining husband that Republicans don't have devils' tails and don't eat babies. For the record, he does now realize that Joe Biden is the worst mistake inflicted on this country in a century.
