Competitive hot dog eater Joey Chestnut not only won the 2022 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest yesterday, but did so while taking down a protestor.
Btw, how is it that so many of these competitive eaters aren't at all fat?

ReplyDeleteNot being a COMPETITIVE eater, my guess is they actually train for these events.
How? I dunno. I just wish I could emulate them ......

I researched it a little, and the "Smithfield Deathstar" is a reference to Smithfield Foods, the country's largest producer of pork products, based in Smithfield, Va (long known for its famous ham).
ReplyDeleteI have a bad hunch that after the competition they go purge. I rather hope not because doing that regularly eventually causes all sorts of damage to the GI tract. But otherwise, I'm with you - how do so many of these people stay skinny?

ReplyDeleteI don't eat many, or any, cheeseburgers anymore because they cost 100,000 dollars each now. Put me in a contest where they're free, I'll do my best to eat 65. I've lost 20 pounds the last year and I'm not happy about it.
