Sunday funnies

Well, if that's what you were trying to do, you sure succeeded.

Man, these county roads really need some work.

Sorry, kitty, for getting in your way (H/T: David Thompson).

From Powerline's "The Week in Pictures".

  2. What I want to know is how he got the pelican drunk.
    Asking for a friend.

  3. Who wants to haul a pelican around? Those things stink like fish.

I liked the Raycon clip. I never found Jerry Seinfeld or Larry David very funny.

  4. Gregory: Oh, it's funny, to me.

  5. V: Shouldn't be too tough. The sack on the lower bill looks like it would hold several quarts at one time.

  6. I thought the same thing as V when I saw the pelican thingy.

It reminded me of a UTube video from a couple years ago titled "Farm girl washes the tractor in a bikini." Of course all the guys who didn't pay attention in English class were getting excited because they didn't realize that sentence is not the same as "Farm girl in a bikini washes the tractor."

Until they watched the video of farm girl washing a tractor wearing a bikini. :-)

  7. I think the mere word "bikini", without respect to grammar or syntax, would have triggered most guys to have clicked on the video.

  8. That was her intent. Getting views through a little sleight of word. :-)

  9. I've mentioned I've got a wall of old lp records in the garage (mostly classical!)

Well I've got an equal number of cassettes in boxes, most of which get gummy and are unplayable after years of storage, like old tape recordings which have to be baked to restore them (but I have most of the music in digital computer files so why bother?).

Skills with record players, skills of playing tapes (cleaning dirty tape heads). Where did all that old technology go? I remember even the trill of portable mp3 music players, all redundant now. Sheesh.
