I wonder how this will shake out

The Trump legal team scored a victory today, as a federal judge announced a "preliminary intent to appoint a special master". This is a person who (supposedly) will provide an objective overview of the documents that were seized at Mar-a-Lago (here is a summary of the kinds of things special masters do). Trump had requested this outcome.

I guess it might matter who gets appointed to the position.

"Hey, guys, I don't have anything on my calendar right now."

  1. Comey could keep himself occupied writing another book. Although the first one doesn't seem so popular.
Amazon's rating shows 78% of readers gave it five stars. Up the top of the page, though, it seems to be a different story.
Amazon's own price for the hardcover is $5.96. Other sellers don't go even that high.
    395 Used from $0.99,
    231 New from $1.64,
    43 Collectible from $3.00

I don't see a Netflix miniseries in Mr Comey's future. Maybe the next book.

  2. I believe that the vast majority of people who gave his book five stars didn't read it at all; they're just leftists who showed up to support the team.

  3. Nothing will come of this.
They'll appoint some deep state stooge, probably a former Republican congresscritter who excelled at Pounding The Table and Demanding Answers!!!! and if you notice that he's a tool, the NYTimesWashPostCNNABCCBSNBCFoxNewsetc. will rush to defend him.
That, or the DO"J" will just ignore this and if you notice that.... well you know.

  6. What is a "preliminary intent"? Sounds like something the Leftocrats will be scrambling to squash.

  7. The DO"J" just notified the judge he could suck it.
You see, they've already gone through everything so there's no need for that.
I should have put that in my prediction, that was the MO for the Obama years, telling judges they could suck it.
