A while back, we had the Mills Brothers doing a jump version of “Cielito Lindo”. Here's a lovely traditional rendition of the popular song, from the 1947 Mexican film Los Tres Garcia. Reading from right to left, the singers are Carlos Orellana, Pedro Infante and Abel Salazar.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it! To me, it is a captivating clip (in spite of the brief choppy editing by the YouTube poster); the song is inherently charming, the performance is outstanding, and the listener can clearly make out the singers' three distinct approaches to the tune.
