I'll have the McWindsor, with a large order of, er, chips
This article is from a while back, but I had no idea the late Queen owned a McDonald's restaurant.
I bet she had no idea what she owned. All of that had to be taken care of by the Royal Real Estate Agent, or whatever. ;-)
It developed long after we had left the European continent, but I was flabbergasted to learn that you can get a glass of wine to go with your chicken in KFC franchises in France.
First off, the whole idea of KFC franchises in France is hilarious; the people were probably delighted to have an alternative to snails. Second, being able to order wine with your 12-piece bucket is also funny - but, not a bad idea, at all, come to think of it.
