Just...striking

This is from yesterday's edition of Powerline's The Week in Pictures. I thought it deserved its own post.

What the what? This looks like an electron microscope picture of the COVID virus, blown up and applied to a set of curtains from one of the guest rooms at a 1960s Holiday Inn. It also puts me in mind of a hippie teepee I saw in McPherson Park in Washington D.C., set up by a self-styled anarchist during the height of the Occupy protests. The hat looks like something that once graced the head of one of those fellows in the painting reproduced on Dutch Masters cigar boxes.

If Hillary does run for president again and (God help us!) wins, can she be impeached for committing high- or, rather, low - fashion crimes and misdemeanors?

  1. Isn't there a Ralph Nader award for recycling shower curtains?

  2. Man, if that's a shower curtain, it never should have been cycled in the first place.

  3. That's Homer's muu muu from an episode where he got hugely fat.

  4. His was a lighter blue, but Marge probably washed it with bleach or maybe colors change hue in cartoon land.
    That was me above.

  5. Her Presidency would have been both highly amusing and horribly destructive. A fountain of great music and other art. Thank God we missed it.

  6. Looking at that outfit too long could cause an epileptic seizure.

  7. Dream on. If, or rather when Hillary reenters politics there will be a spate (if not an actual plethora) of articles celebrating her bold and confident style and taste. Just look at the fawning coverage of Kamala's skinny "model" stepdaughter.

  8. That "dress" looks like the Jolly Green Giant's handkerchief ... ... following a week long head cold.

  9. Rebecca: I had an epileptic attack, and I don't even have epilepsy!

    George: Like the Borgias, right?
