Totally unrelated update I took the Colt .25 to the range today, and it performed flawlessly. Mrs. Paco enjoyed shooting it, too; no recoil to speak of, and pretty accurate at defensive distances.
Wouldn't want to rush to judgement.

Mrs. Paco feels most comfortable with pistols chambered in the .25 ACP, of which I now own two, and she has complete access. If it was good enough for Bonnie Parker...
