Woman's note to self: stop at the shoe store on the way home (H/T: David Thompson)
This seems like an extremely useful item. (H/T: Ditto)
From Powerline's The Week in Pictures.
"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Well, well. Now my "I lost all my guns in a tragic boating accident" story has been expanded to include vegetable gardens. I don't think I would have expected that! :-)
ReplyDeleteOne of the many reasons I always loved The Far Side was Gary Larson's seemingly endless variety of topics for his cartoons. Like this one based on something so nuanced as how the music changed in a bar scene in an old-time western movie. A lot of people don't understand his cartoons, but from the first time I saw one, they all made sense to me.
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe she should pick a package of underwear as well, but for different reasons.
ReplyDelete"Sorry, I lost my garden in a boating accident"
ReplyDeleteAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
R-man: Yes, Larson was a real artist: he not only could see things the rest of us tend to overlook; he could see things the rest of us would never have seen at all, even if we had tried. And what an incredible imagination!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure now if I can ever kill a lone ant again.
ReplyDeleteKill them if they're swarming all over my kitchen in hundreds, sure. That won't change.
