I never paid much attention to outdoor vests, but I am now. The advantage of a back-up sandwich, alone, makes it worthwhile.

"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
I used to have one of those in bright orange for squirrel hunting, it also had a detachable pouch on the back for what you killed.
ReplyDeleteIt was more of a "shoot you first" vest.
I loved all the pockets.
I have a couple of these. Very handy.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, I get asked if I'm a fisherman or photographer quite often.
Concealed carry? Who, me?
Although I should note, I do NOT carry flossers around.
ReplyDeleteFor about twenty years I wore a similar vest from Banana Republic. They called it a bush vest, and it was from when they only did catalog sales and carried a lot of surplus. Eventually it wore out and they of course no longer offered it, having morphed into a sort of Urban Outfitters.
ReplyDeleteBut Cabela's had a very similar one, which I bought.
I have no problem with those vests or the one Mas displays. I am a bit suspicious of the ones marketed specifically for concealed carry, that feature a US flag, MOLLE loops and a 2A logo. Those seem to deny the whole point of concealed carry.
