I've gotten hooked on Matt Wetzel's YouTube channel, mainly because it (usually) features the desert topography of southwest Utah and the Arizona strip, and because these folks seem to be a nice bunch.

"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Vehicle recovery is never easy. But try it with a tank sometime…..
ReplyDeleteThe team did good work there, but the truck frames sure took a beating!
The great thing about Matt's business is he'll always have an income stream, because there's apparently an endless number of people who don't know how to drive in rough country, or insist on driving inappropriate vehicles.
ReplyDeleteIf I owned this outfit, I'd borrow from Gerber Baby foods for my slogan: Idiots are our business, our only business.
Good point, Paco -- I read about people driving in vehicles during conditions I'd hate to walk in all the time. And that's regardless of it being rough country or the interstate.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think about heavydsparks, if I have that right. A bit of a showman with his "I found a goldmine!" but no it's a few old tools but I love that Corvair wagon on a 4wd chassis.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, George. I just watched an episode on YouTube featuring heavydsparks working on a joint recovery with Matt (although Dave Sparks and his team did most of the work, since they use heavy equipment and were hauling wrecked cars out of a 1000-ft deep canyon). Good stuff.
