I'm sorry, 7up, I guess I didn't give you a chance to like me. I tried to like you, but for some reason it just didn't quite work out. Sprite and I became friends, though.
There's an old farts drink known as 7&7. Seagrams 7 and 7up. I ordered it due to ease of its name, now I'm stuck with it at my usual place, they pour it as soon as I walk through the door. I don't know how to free myself from this tyranny, I'm scared if I try to get say, a Jack & coke, they may not recognize me and ask for my ID, which at my age, might set me off into tears and ineffectual whiny grunts of "don't you know who I am?"

ReplyDeleteI prefer 7-Up to Sprite, but on a hot summer day, after several hours of yard work, I'd accept either one over ice, with gratitude.
