Impressive

People sometimes credit the Mossad with almost mythical super-human powers, but there's no question that this outfit is courageous and extraordinarily skilled in conducting special operations. Here's the latest - "Mossad: Another Spectacular Feat Of Derring-Do".

Israel is facing a daily existential threat, surrounded by implacable enemies who yearn for its destruction. This keeps that country's security and military services focused on the threat.

By contrast, the US doesn't really face such an external enemy. To the contrary, we have had over a half century of unparalleled prosperity and security. We have, to cut to the chase, become slack and complacent. Therefore our security and military services have become bloated bureaucracies obsessed with make work and empire building, and subject to political corruption.

So the "domestic terror" threats they address are nonsensical ideas such as "white rage" or Catholics wanting to celebrate the Latin Mass, or parents wanting to keep [predators away from their children, or small businesses trying to survive the dual threats of DNC directed thuggery and bureaucratic suffocation.

And decadent. That’s even more destructive than complacency.

  3. What Stephen S. said. If Mossad fails in their mission, innocent people die (usually Jews), and if they fail spectacularly, they could lose their whole nation. We don't face that threat (yet), but it's no excuse for the kind of slackers our intelligence community seems dead set on hiring.

  4. Annual budget of 3 billion? I'm assuming that's a conversion to USD.
No denying that is a very efficient use of funds. Australian governments fritter away that sort of money and don't blink an eye.
