Friend and commenter Deborah mentioned reservists being called up, and here's a post that elaborates on the towering stupidity that makes our participation in a hot war problematic, to say the least: "WH calls up reserve troops for Europe". Yeah, we've got what you might call a leadership deficit.
In WWII there were all kinds of slogans that were intended to boost morale and put people on their guard: Keep 'Em Flying; V for Victory; Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition. I'm wondering, what would be a likely propaganda slogan if we get in a war with Russia? Let me think...it's right on the tip of my tongue...

Because Our Betters Say So!
ReplyDelete"Hush, peasants, go out and die for us!"
ReplyDeleteThe reserves were called up this time to cover up the military's current recruitment fiasco, you can bet on it. It's not the first time National Guard members have been called up and deployed for overseas exercises, but it might be the first time reserve members have been targeted: (military members who leave the military are on reserve for at least ten years after their discharge, but would never be recalled unless the country was attacked and we got into a major shooting war). Or at least should never be, but I don't put anything past the Biden Clown Show.
ReplyDeleteI fear for my grandson even though he left the Marines after his tour with a medical disability. He has a young wife and two small children, and I don't want to see him fed into the Democrat Political Shredder.
I pray for your grandson. Hopefully his medical discharge will keep him out of the coming fray. God bless him and his family! Please convey our deepest gratitude to him.
DeleteRemember when Bush 43 imposed a Stop Loss and the media freaked out? It was literally the worserest thing Smirkychimp McHitlerburton ever did, in the entire history of fascist genocide!
ReplyDeleteAnd so be ready for the same hyperventilating hysteria from the media this time. Yup, just as soon as they move on from the bag of cocaine in the White Hou- look! Squirrel!!!
Why send the reservists, when Hollywood actors and writers are standing idle?
ReplyDeleteThey only play military, not train as military. Besides, there are no lattes on a battlefield.
DeleteGregory: Good idea. Many of them have experience shooting guns with blanks or, in Alec Baldwin's case, live ammo.
ReplyDelete"Say no to war unless a Democrat is president!"
ReplyDeleteWell, that's a rallying cry that at least 80 million people will respond to...right?
