Sunday funnies

Camping? Nah, I don't think so.

Asian dad FAIL.

Wakey, wakey, Mrs. Clinton! Time to get up and annoy America!

Fractured Flickers was a TV comedy that ran in the early 1960s. The show featured clips from old silent movies which were given new story lines and voiceover dialogue provided primarily by Paul Frees, June Foray and Bill Scott (the mainstays of The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show). Hans Conried was the host. It was certainly...different.

  1. Fractured Flickers got a run in Melbourne as after school tv. The programmers thought it was too clever for the adults, I guess.

  2. Wow, MacGyver got fat.

I vote we put Pritzker and Christie in a room and throw in a single Big Mac, just to see what happens.

  3. Fractured Flickers. Now there's a name I haven't heard for a long time. A looonng time.
I remember it mainly for what I thought was the funny voices of the voiceover actors. Actually, in the 'fractured' genre, I preferred Fractured Fairy Tales on Rocky & Bullwinkle.

And remember, playing the cymbals isn't for klutzes.

  4. The Big Bird one reminds me of the "Bert is Evil" site over twenty years ago. It had pictures showing Bert juxtaposed with the likes of Hitler and Stalin, or present at atrocities and disasters.

But that's not the weird part. The weird part was after 9/11 and the retard devotees of the death cult produced posters of their heroes to carry at demonstrations, such as Saddam and Arafat and bin Laden. I saw at least one of bin Laden one with Bert... yes, the muppet,,, peering over his shoulder. That's how dumb these people are, and why they can't win (even though it's entirely possible for us to lose).

  5. Stephen: I remember that "Bert is Evil" meme. It was hilarious!

R-Man: The Fractured Fairy Tales bits were very amusing. I've got one in particular in mind I'm going to try and find, and post, sometime; it had a scene that made me LOL (still does).

Rebecca: I think you'd be talking about something more savage than a cockfight.

Gregory: I had no idea that program made it overseas.

  6. Movies channel, broadcast, had a Fractures Flickers bit on a couple weeks ago.
I flipped in while it was going on so I didn't realize what it was, had me wondering WTF? for a while.
    It did make me laugh.

  7. Lon Chaney, Jr., was not amused by the clips featuring his father, and sued the producers, but lost.
