Why not just do as the Romans did with some of their emperors and declare Fauci a deity? Then his fawning admirers would have an excuse to actually pray to him (I understand that votive candles with his image were being sold in the not-too-distant past).

One has to wonder if it was a hefty endowment or veiled threats to Case Western Reserve University that lead to this "honor".
