Mobility: limited

I messed up my left knee, somehow, and am actually having to use a cane to get around. Nothing too serious, I believe, but blogging may be a little light today.

I had to get a shot in the other knee last month because it had developed some pain (a scan hilariously disclosed something called "runner's knee"; I guarantee you I haven't run anywhere in decades).

All just part of the ageing process. I swear, I'm beginning to feel like a barn find.

  1. You have my sympathies, Paco. Without entering the "TMI" zone, I will only say that I have personal experience regarding the ageing process.

    Do take care!

And the knees, and theback, and the feet, and the....
The question I have is: Do you have a sword or gun cane?
Cold Steel has a couple neat sword canes and a couple melee canes.

  4. A sword cane would be great. I might as well look into buying one, as I do twist a knee or ankle every now and then.

  5. A blackthorn stick would add a natty touch and also be useful in close quarters fighting.

I've been fortunate in never having had knee problems. I was surprised in college to find how common they are... a problem with being high school age is you don't really consider your own mortality. And once in a while, reality tosses you a sharp reminder.
