Not seeing it, myself

Democrat West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin's announcement of his retirement from the U.S. Senate is fueling speculation that he might make a run as an independent candidate for president (possibly under the "No Labels" umbrella; remember those idiots?).

I suspect he won't run, but, given the frequency with which his previous attempts to stand up to the leftists almost always backfired (whether by accident or cynical design, I can't say), my guess is that a run on his part would probably wind up keeping Biden in the White House - and nobody will be more visibly (even if falsely) surprised than Manchin.

  1. Citizen's Free Press thinks it'll be Manchin/Romney.
    I wonder what party.
Romney is an obvious member of the We're Better and Smarter Than You Party while Manchin, also a member, played a maverick on TV.
They'll take votes from Christie, so we have that to look forward to.

  2. I expect this is West Virginia's version of the Pence campaign.

  3. Be great if the GOP can flip Manchin's seat.

While we're at it, how about they try to pick up Romney's seat as well?
