Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks was not informed that the Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin had been hospitalized in intensive care when she took over his duties while she was on vacation in Puerto Rico.

So, Austin didn't tell anybody he was having elective surgery. Not even the White House. Not that his presence would have made much difference in anything up to and including WWIII, but, still, you need to follow protocol, Gen'rl.
"...complications from elective surgery..."
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna bet a dollar there was no "elective surgery."
These folks lie as a first response.
Of course, we'll never know.
Even if our fine media betters find out the truth they ain't telling us.
They're not in the information business anymore.
Good thing there's nothing happening, foreign-conflict wise, that might require having a SecDef on the job. Or knowing if he was even on the job or not.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if the people running things are stupid or malevolent, and I'm not certain that there'd be a difference.
What a confidence inspiring Administration we have ruining...I mean, running this country!
ReplyDeleteAffirmative action Generals are exempt from following protocol.
ReplyDeleteHe's the Claudine Gay of the Defense Dept.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he was undergoing transgender surgery? That’s definitely elective.
ReplyDeleteHey, I hadn't thought of that!
ReplyDeleteI think nobody informed the White House (or the Pentagon) because they were afraid Austin's condition is serious enough to warrant replacement, and they don't want to lose their Historic First.
ReplyDeleteWell it could've been elective...it just wasn't Austin doing the electing. The claim that no one knew he was going into the hospital is like claiming that the higher ups at Camp Lejune didn't know about the 34 years of contaminated water. Yeah right.
