Communication breakdown

So, Austin didn't tell anybody he was having elective surgery. Not even the White House. Not that his presence would have made much difference in anything up to and including WWIII, but, still, you need to follow protocol, Gen'rl.

  1. "...complications from elective surgery..."
I'm gonna bet a dollar there was no "elective surgery."
These folks lie as a first response.
    Of course, we'll never know.
Even if our fine media betters find out the truth they ain't telling us.
They're not in the information business anymore.

  2. Good thing there's nothing happening, foreign-conflict wise, that might require having a SecDef on the job. Or knowing if he was even on the job or not.

I don't know if the people running things are stupid or malevolent, and I'm not certain that there'd be a difference.

  6. Maybe he was undergoing transgender surgery? That’s definitely elective.

  8. I think nobody informed the White House (or the Pentagon) because they were afraid Austin's condition is serious enough to warrant replacement, and they don't want to lose their Historic First.

  9. Well it could've been elective...it just wasn't Austin doing the electing. The claim that no one knew he was going into the hospital is like claiming that the higher ups at Camp Lejune didn't know about the 34 years of contaminated water. Yeah right.
