...that if I were a Minnesotan of Norwegian descent living in her district, I wouldn't feel that she necessarily had my best interests at heart: "Rep. Ilhan Omar Represents Everything Wrong With America’s Immigration System".
Omar is a woman of the left, but her speech over the weekend was pure blood-and-soil nationalism — for Somalia, not America. She tells them she’s a Somalian first and a Muslim second. She doesn’t even mention the United States or her citizenship here. She promises to use her power and influence in Congress to protect her nation’s interests. (Again, that nation being Somalia, not America.)
So what? The left has always hated America and wanted to dismantle it.
ReplyDeleteIs this the smoking gun that finally proves it? Nah. They have never hidden their intent.
She puts our Lidiot Thorpe in the shade, and that's no mean feat.

ReplyDeleteTruer words were never spoken.
Which makes it frustrating when you talk to the willfully and aggressively ignorant who refuse to see it.
Actually I think it's not a coincidence that the craziest migrants end up in Scandinavian areas. That happens in Europe too for one thing. And there is a form of Lutheranism which they have in common which either explains or reflects this. It's called 'Scandinavian Pietism'.
ReplyDelete- Basically, they believe they need to come closer to God by extreme personal self-sacrifice and dedication to 'Love thy neighbour':
http://www.pietisten.org/xxii/2/pietism_and_social_justice.html
'…therefore the trespasses of your neighbor are your mirror, in which you are to learn to know your weaknesses, and ... you are to help bear his weaknesses and burden with patience, humility, and meekness.'
So basically, the worse your neighbour is, the more Godly you become by helping them.
I don't understand why she hasn't been stripped of the position and citizenship.
ReplyDeleteSadly, Omar can't be denaturalized or deported for making a hateful speech. She could be, however, tossed out of Congress if only the denizens therein had the courage to do it.
