    This video seems to show a large gathering of Muslim women; I only see a few guys; the population of Muslims seems to be concentrated in the city; the trend seems to be still a small percentage of the general population, the same here in the US; there's still a smaller percentage in the country, so not likely that the Muslims will be taking over this country or that too soon; however, the potential for firey, but mostly peaceful protests could increase; and if they follow the pattern of the previous protests they'll be burning down their own neighborhoods; such a shame.

    Yes, the problem is that they cause trouble way out of proportion to their numbers, and the whole mess is compounded by an increasingly pusillanimous police force and weak institutional response.

    That's Ashura, an annual religious procession to mourn the death of Hussain, which started the split for the Shi-ites. The women just do a march. I hope the men don't do the full blood-letting thing in London, which they usually do in the old country: waving swords and cutting themselves.

    Once you know it's 'ashura' you can google and compare. Like here it is in Michigan:

    I don't think the girls dress in those black robes every day, or not all of them - it seems to be a mark of mourning for the festival. Still very weird I agree.

    I also found full-on bloodletting sword waving for Ashura in New York on Getty images, but it doesn't say the year. Pretty shocking, warning, although the wounds are superficial:
