Happy Feet Friday

Here's Tennessee Ernie Ford with one of his hits, "Shotgun Boogie" (note the great Speedy West on pedal steel, and his frequent recording partner, Jimmy Bryant, on electric guitar).

Bonus video!  A very young Brenda Lee belts out that rock-a-billy favorite, "Hound Dog".

  1. Tennessee Ernie Ford appears with a shotgun for a prop, and no one at that time was the least bit triggered or traumatized. Seems normal since the song is titled "Shotgun Boogie".

So glad I got to grow up in that non-woke world!

  2. Agreed on both, rinardman! Btw, I wonder if there were any gun incidents during the making of TV shows or movies back in the day. I don't remember hearing of any, perhaps it was because I was a kid imaging aiding Roy Roger and Swamp Fox.
