According to wiki, "Dowagiac" is derived from a Potawatomie Indian word meaning "fishing [near home] water". So, I guess Heddon lures are big medicine when it comes to fishing.
I was an avid freshwater fisherman in my youth, but was mostly an Arbogast man; the Gen 1 Hawaiian Wiggler was my go-to lure when fishing for large mouth bass. I did, however, own a couple of Heddon artificial minnows, and they were fairly effective, too.
Genuine Dowagiac Fishing Tackle
ReplyDeleteNot being much of a fisherman, I wondered what the nature of "Dowagiac Fishing Tackle" would be.
Turns out, Dowagiac, MI is where the Heddon company was/is from. Must be something in the water there that makes their fishing lures better.
