You know what we commemorate on June 19th, don't you? That's right!
The execution of two commie spies on June 19th, 1953.
H/T (sort of): Saw the meme featuring this event in the sidebar at Ace of Spades; however, I can't copy photos from Ace's place, so I just found the original photo somewhere else.
Oh, that was part of the Jewish genocide by the... uh, the anti-Semitic US government. In addition to these two, the US also executed... ummm... well, the actual numbers aren't important. Just know that poor Ethel and Julius were murdered simply for being Jewish!
ReplyDeleteVenona Intercepts? Nope, never heard of 'em.
The Rosenbergs!
ReplyDeleteI have a bunch of knowledge stored in my average sized brain, it's just that it's often hard to access it immediately. All I could come up with was Rosenstein before I gave up and looked it up. My sister-in-law always told me I needed to be on Jeopardy, and I told her, yeah, I knew a lot of stuff, but my hard drive often wasn't very fast in accessing it.
I'd have to buzz in first, then tell Alex "Gimme a second, I know that!" :-)
Those two did more damage to the world than just about any other two people not name Marx.
ReplyDeleteYeah, people didn't pay enought attention to Zeppo in my opinion.
