When you have to use a kayak to get around the inside of your house, things are pretty bad.
NEW: Florida man Matthew Heller films himself in his kayak in his own living room as hurricane Helene intensifies.

Helene is currently a Category 4 storm and has caused widespread power outages, flooding & 140-mile-per-hour winds.pic.twitter.com/V83oJBomaK
I've wondered about electrocution in those circumstances; would paddling to the breaker box and flipping the room's power off be possible/recommended; wouldn't the breaker flip because of all that water?
ReplyDeleteI think the breaker(s) would flip, but that's a question better left to people far more knowledgeable on the subject than I.
DeleteThey *should* flip, but they should be checked anyway, if that's at all possible. If I were the Florida Man™, I'd be more concerned about evacuating.
DeleteIf that's at all possible.
This weatherman is good. I like the illegal alien comment.

Ha! Rosemary Margan never did that!
DeleteWhy are my comments disappearing?
ReplyDeleteThey go to spam, sometimes, for reasons unknown. That's why I am now trying to go through my spam comments everyday to restore legitimate comments to their rightful place. You did inadvertently leave a weather-related comment in the comments section of another post yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI got an error message trying to post one with my name, but it worked as anonymous. trying with my name.
ReplyDeleteThe flooding in North Carolina is horrendous; the state transportation department announced that no one should travel anywhere in the state.
