Happy Feet Friday

One of my favorite boogie-woogie pianists (Freddie Slack) teams up with one of my favorite 1940s songbirds (Ella Mae Morse) to head "A Little Down the Road A Piece".

Bonus tune!  Here's something clever for you fans of atonal music.

  1. Was Freddy the inspiration for Schroeder?
I thought it was him at the very beginning. Schroeder, I mean.

  2. I was just reading up on Vince Guaraldi, the jazz pianist who composed the original music played by Schroeder in the Peanuts cartoon movies, and the guy had a pretty interesting career. He played for Woody Herman's Third Herd back in the fifties.

  3. Man, can't seem to remember the style protocols. Peanuts.
