Hands down my favorite jazz pianist. Years ago I had a recording (an 8-track! in my car) of Evans playing, solo, various arrangements he had done of classical works. I haven't been able to find it in his recording archives.
Could that have been it, with Claus Ogerman? But not solo. There is a rough tape on Ytube of Evans playing a Baroque piece, a practice tape they say: https://youtu.be/v_hDqJxK5O0
