Mrs. Paco and I (mostly Mrs. Paco) spent a productive afternoon repotting our pineapple plants prior to bringing them inside for the winter. You've really got to be careful with those things; it's like wading into a patch of bayonets.
And then, the day was done...
Oy, I had no idea people actually grow pineapples as house plants. As a major plantoholic, I have to thank you for presenting me with an other temptation.h
ReplyDeleteWe leave them outside most of the year, then bring them in during the winter. It takes a pineapple plant a few years to generate a fruit, but it's worth it. The fruit is smaller, but sweeter and less tart than what you find in a grocery store. And they're super easy to grow: just cut the top off of a pineapple you buy at the store and stick it in the dirt.
