Light me, honey.

Homer Simpson, in translation.

Mountain lions are still just cats.

Let's remember to focus on developing our situational awareness.

  1. True story:

A guy I knew once claimed chihuahuas were bred specifically to attack mountain lions ... ... in packs.

    He was quite serious.

  2. One of my aunts had a chihuahua. That little bastich liked to hide under her dining room table and rush out and bite me whenever I walked past.

    1. It's the one dog breed that I definitely don't like.

    2. My sister in law had some. They were not aggressive, but they were dumb in that they had no concept of relative sizes and the laws of physics. I was always concerned around them because they'd get underfoot and I didn't want to step on one.

  3. I think small dogs like terriers are bred to get rid of rats. I've seen a team of dogs create a pile of dead rats from a barn. Vicious.

    2. One of my favorite observations about dogs is “The smaller the dog, the bigger the ego.”

    3. That's so true. One of the funniest things I ever saw was a chihuahua chasing a cement truck.

  4. That must be the last surviving Jeep from The Rat Patrol.

I really liked that show, but it's weird, I can't remember any of the actors or any story lines. All I can remember is two Jeeps racing around the desert blasting away with their 50BMGs. Never figured out how they hit anything.

    1. All I really remember about the show (aside from the Jeeps) was Christopher George and Eric Braedon.

And sorry Mr. George, but the real reason I remember you is that you were husband to Lynda Day George, who my pubescent brain thought was one of the two hottest women on the planet, the other being Leslie Ann Warren.

Both of whom were in Mission Impossible for a while. I already watched that show religiously, so getting the two of them was a double bonus.
