When the electorate administers a lesson to a political party by throwing it out of office...

...the difficulty is that what you get may well be decidedly worse: "Downing Street indicates Netanyahu would be arrested in UK after ICC warrant".

There's a petition to force a no-confidence vote on PM Keir Starmer, and it has collected something like three quarters of a million signatures. UK has become a very sad specimen of the follies of woke-ism, Islamophilia and loss of confidence in western traditions. We were heading that way ourselves, here in the USA, but that trajectory has been knocked down, at least temporarily, by the election of Donald Trump. But we should always remember: the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

Correction  The petition being circulated is actually for a general election, and it has garnered over two million signatures.

  1. As loathsome as Starmer is, I lay all the blame for this on the Conservative Party. They abandoned and betrayed the electorate and demonstrated that they hold no principles whatever. Were I a citizen of the UK I could not, in good conscience, have voted Tory last election.

Of course, I could not have voted Labour either. There was a perfectly viable third option, but the establishment had managed to make Reform radioactive that people were scared to vote for them. If it happens again, I doubt enough voters will swallow the Kool-Aid again.
