Another reason, besides my weak ankles, not to take up ice skating
Yeah, they just keep their snoots slightly above the surface and go into something resembling a state of suspended animation. A very durable, tough, adaptable critter.
I read somewhere a long time ago that alligators can survive freezing temperatures. They’ve been around for millions of years so it stands to reason.
