Oh no! Trump angered the Canadians! None of us will survive!
ReplyDeleteI saw somewhere that a better place to annex would be Mexico, which we only grabbed a bit of when we won the Mexican American War; maybe keep their existing state structure, or maybe annex all the way down to Panama.
ReplyDeleteI give props to that Canadian politician. That's one way to stop Trump from annexing Canada.
ReplyDeleteIf Washington, Oregon, and California are part of Canada, why would we want to annex Canada, and get them back?
A note of caution for Elizabeth May: Be careful what you wish for.
ReplyDeletea bunch of the inland counties in each of those are actively trying to secede from their coastal neighbors; it might be a problem to lose all that coastline and ports; maybe the conservative territories of Canada and Mexico would vote to come over to our side, hmmm.
ReplyDeleteNot all of them are inland... look at a county map of WA and you see some red ones on the west wide of Puget Sound. I live in one of them.
DeleteOf course, those are counties where commercial fishing and logging were traditionally located. You know, not just working class but hazardous professions.
