The company is out in the middle of the pond, and the rifle-shot sounds of cracking ice are coming fast and furious: "Jury Finds CNN 'Committed Defamation Against Navy Vet Zachary Young' – CNN Owes Young $5 Million in Emotional and Financial Damages".
And it gets worse: "Defamation Trial Reveals Network Has Lost Hundreds of Millions in Revenue".
Maybe the owner of CNN, Warner Bros Discovery, should take a write-off and turn the network into a kind of national public-access channel, where communities can vie with one another in promoting DIY videos on quilting and bee-keeping and learning to play the zither. And no politics allowed, or you might wind up with a bunch of fringe kooks spouting nonsense - kind of like CNN now.
