We had two incredible blizzards in the last couple of years that we lived in Fairfax, VA, with the snow piling up to 2 1/2 feet - higher in some places because of the drift - and I really wish I had possessed a snow blower (or, even better, one-way tickets to Miami).
I don't think I've ever had the optimism of stage 1, and by experience I avoid stage 3 by not overdressing, and stage 4 by getting the right tool for the job, and stage 5 by taking lots of breaks. I still wish Global Warmining would kick in, and help me out, though. They said there'd be no more snow by now!!
Entirely correct. Although phase II can be replaced with "Your boogers start to freeze".
