The road to hell, good intentions, some paving required

"The NGO Complex Is Irredeemably Corrupt".

I don't mean that the problems aren't real, although by now you should know that the way the problems are described has little relationship to reality, but there are abused and neglected children, women who need help to recover from abuse, and other crises, and people in need of help.
It's just that most of these nonprofits aren't so much helping people as farming them for money.

I put the question to you: should the CEO of a food bank be making a salary that is more than half again as much as the salary of the President of the United States? (And bear in mind that the current president is donating his salary to charity). Why, it's enough to make one wonder if the real motivation for these NGO executives has anything to do with "good intentions".

It's obvious by now that this system is designed to funnel government money to favored individuals and groups.

  2. Some people always looked for recession-proof jobs where you were 'set for life' but these used to be rare and hard to get. Then they invented not-for-profits, which like everything, seemed like a good idea at first.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions?

  3. The wolves will move in when they see a system they can infiltrate.

But I think a lot of this starts with, for example, female football players demanding same salary as male football players. Female 'CEOs' same.

  4. It's working the way it's supposed to.
I do like a series by Tom Kratman, Countdown.
His mercenary company is an NGO.
Huh, maybe I should start an NGO to eradicate Somali pira..... help Somali fishers.
Get a few $million to buy a freighter and some long-distance hole punches (for paperwork) and sell tickets to people to Highlight The Plight Of Poor Somali Fisherman.
I didn't get a grant for my wind-powered airplanes, second chance!

    1. helping somali fishermen, that's the ticket, so much humanitarian, so noble, and a bargain at any price; remember to pay yourself first; you might be able to pick up one of the confiscated Russian oligarchs boats cheap, then accessorize with hole punchers.
it really was a shame about your wind powered airplane, people just don't recognize your genious,.
