Can't say I've ever heard of Dobbs Hats. But, I'm certainly not a hatter, so not surprising, I guess. There's probably more hat makers I've never heard of, than the ones I have.
That was a big company at one time, and I used to own a derby made by Dobbs (very nice quality). Yeah, I'm sure back in the day there must have been oodles of hat makers, including many regional and local hatters.
