...it's time for palindromes (this year, at least).
H/T: Mrs. Paco
"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Oh, yeah, Palindrome. Wasn't that the name of the gunfighter in the 50's TV western Have Gun - Will Travel?
ReplyDeleteAlways wondered why he didn't have a first name.
Jeez, old man... Palindrome is the eeeee-vil emperor in the Star Wars movies. Dum-dum.
DeleteAlways wondered why he didn't have a first name.
DeleteSure, he had a first name. It was Pip.
Are you sure it wasn't Bob, Paco?
DeleteHmm. Might've been. I do know that he had a sister. Nan.
DeleteOh, was that her name? We all just called her Sis.
DeleteI remember back in 1977... on July 7... a friend was so excited that it was 7/7/77 and kept trying to explain to me how significant that was because, well, it was 7/7/77! Geddit! All the same numbers!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is really stupid, I very carefully avoided saying. Because as I said she was a friend and I did not want to be mean.
Youngest son came home from school years ago and told us the teacher was getting them to spell their names backwards and try to pronounce them. Don't know how this helped the education system but there you are. Anyway his mate sitting beside him was having trouble and put his hand up for help. The teacher came up and was rather annoyed with him and said "all you have to do Mark Cockram is write your name backwards and tell me how it is pronounced". Poor kid was sure he was doing it all wrong.
ReplyDeleteHaw! Quite the dilemma.
