ReplyDeleteI lived in Japan in the 80's when the country was swimming in money. Bars would import glacial ice from Alaska for their drinks. Formed under high pressure at extreme cold, the ice cubes would sing, whistle and crackle as they expanded and melted when put into cocktails. The fad didn't last long, but it was fun.
