She's a congressthing who represents parts of Wake County, including some high-growth areas doubtless packed with what Ace refers to as AWFLs (Affluent White Female Liberals). Outsiders, most of them, as is von Haefen (who was born in Ohio).
We're still being punished for that little rebellion thing back in the 1860s, looks like. There are many exceptions, but I don't think the North is, on balance, sending us their best.
She may be from Ohio originally, but she wouldn’t be very comfortable here now. Except for small pockets in the big cities, Ohio is about as red as a state can be.
