Here's a roundup of classic freedom quotes from "Yuri Bezemov", the nic of the operator of the How to Subvert Subversion Substack account (the real Yuri Bezemov was a Soviet journalist who defected to the West and died in Canada in 1993).
I'm glad to be celebrating Independence Day during the second Donald Trump administration. Trump's "no filters" patriotism is refreshing, and I believe he truly loves this country in a way that most Democrats can't seem to understand or appreciate. God bless the Great Orange Hope - and our noble Republic, battered, but still standing tall.
Mrs. Paco and I will be celebrating with my favorite meal, hamburgers and French fries, supplied by one of the clubs here at St. James. I think there might be some caramel ice cream in the back of the freezer, too. And maybe I'll finish off the day with a toast to Old Glory, with a healthy shot of apple pie whiskey (in this particular case, a jar of moonshine with a cinnamon stick submerged in it; I took some for a respiratory ailment a week or so ago and it's extremely smooth, practically the only hard liquor I ever touch. I only have the one jar, so I hoard it for special occasions and the occasional medical necessity).
Update Via The mind is an unexplored country:
It's already beeroclock here on the 4th so cheers to your great country.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th to all, it's pizza and ice cream for me and mine tonight.
ReplyDeleteHappy Independence Day! Ice cream and pizza for me as well!
ReplyDeleteI had a hamburger too, with sweet potato chips. Felt momentarily American, and enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth of July to all! I’ll watch the annual village fireworks from my back step (the village puts on a huge show every year), and I’ll spend tomorrow with my family, watching the seven great-grandchildren play on the big inflated water slide and playing with our new English Springer Spaniel puppy, Tess. Prouder than ever to be an American.
