Breaking news

Rumors are that most Glocks are to be discontinued at the end of November, pending changes that would eliminate the backplate, specifically the cruciform trigger bar, which allegedly makes the firearm easily convertible to full auto.

  1. Dollars to donuts, someone will develop a workaround to this change.

  2. Does this work only with Glocks?
I've only heard this with Glocks so maybe the change will stop it.

    1. Converting semi-automatic pistols to full auto is an old trick. A stupid one, but still old.

It's just that the Glock design made it easier, by changing out a part. Unintentionally, I'm sure, but it's supposed to be a simple procedure, one that any gang banger can do.

Before, you had to work on the trigger, which required some skill.

    2. And it occurs to me that you might be referring to Glock clones -- there are quite a few out there.

      That, I don't know.

    3. I believe it's mostly gang bangers in blue cities who install the "Glock switch", so they can spray a room or a street. How can this be? Don't these thugs know they're in non-compliance with the law?

  3. I know that if you know what you're doing you can make anything full auto, I was just talking about the Glock switch, which I've heard is just a drop in conversion.
Of course, everything I know about that is from lefty sources like the news, Law & Order, and other untrustworthy places.

    1. That's what I've heard as well, but mostly from the same sources. Reliable sources imply that the lefties have a point.

Not being interested in spray&pray, I've never looked into such mods.
