Everybody have a good week: stay safe, stay vigilant and stay free.
I'll leave you with this lovely musical number from the archives of Hee Haw by Jimmy Riddle and Jackie Phelps.
Update Via Veeshir in the comments section of the Halloween post, here's a good Halloweenish video featuring an old Paco Enterprises favorite, Cab Calloway.
I wish they had continued that, I wanted to see what happened to Betty.
ReplyDeleteMeTV has a Toons channel that shows Betty Boop cartoons every now and then.
They're a lot more risquè than I would have thought.
I'm actually enjoying them.
The oldest Popeye cartoons are hilarious too, you have to pay attention to what he's muttering.
Cartoons were much better when they were shown in theaters, .
Video might have killed the radio star, but TV ruined the cartoon star.
Some of the very old, longer, Popeye cartoons are very funny and feature an interesting mix of animation and live action background (e.g., the animated characters will be walking through the desert against a background of real sand; that one's from "Popeye Meets Ali Baba's Forty Thieves", 1937).
DeleteNow that Paco's gone, let's wreck up the place!
ReplyDeleteI'll start.
There's nothing funny about Sunday!
