Years ago, I was frustrated by Rubio allowing himself to be coopted by the "Gang of Eight", a bipartisan group of eight United States Senators who wrote the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013. The law was defective and it looked like Rubio was getting played.
He seems to have learned a few things, with respect to both substance and optics, since then: "Marco rides into the Senate".
