...but Ace has a good rundown.
The thing I probably admire most about Trump is his ferocity when attacking Democrats, and his skill in showing them up as the hypocrites and liars that they are. And I hugely enjoy the donks' high dudgeon, which comes from inexperience in dealing with a genuine fighter; their past exposure to (mostly) pusillanimous Republicans who pride themselves on being "above that sort of thing" (on the way to losing graciously) has conditioned them to think Republicans are all pushovers. Not Trump, folks.
And the Democrats' response, handled by Virginia's new governor, Abigail "Spanführer", was, to put it mildly, "just plain weird".
It defies explanation - he shows them what he's doing all the time. Digs a pit and says "Look at this pit I dug!" Everybody agrees, yes, that sure is a pit.
ReplyDeleteThen he lines the bottom with stakes and sharpens them. "See these sharpened stakes I put in the bottom of the pit?" and everybody says, yes, there sure are a bunch of them and wow, they look really sharp. Then he says "It would hurt like hell to land on those sharpened stakes lining that pit, right?" and everybody says boy, wouldn't it just!
And then comes the hook. "Democrats, be careful of this pit filled with sharpened stakes, don't fall in!" and they all, except Fetterman, scream and leap into the pit.
Abigail "Spanführer" ..... I love it!
ReplyDeleteI didn’t watch the SOTU because I hate it when Trump rambles, but all reports are that he didn’t ramble this time and every sentence was a wooden stake in the heart of the Democratic Party. How can they ever get over not standing up for the American people, the Angel families, the lukewarm applause for the US hockey team, Ilhan Omar screaming like an angry banshee, and presenting frog people in their “alternative” event. Frog people. Are they all suffering from pot psychosis?
