They're a big part of the problem: "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues".
But the two new rising stars of the party, Mikie Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger, the newly elected governors of New Jersey and Virginia, respectively, won what were thought to be tight races by comfortable margins. How? By running as middle-of-the-road centrists. That's what the voters in both states wanted.
Now these "moderates" are firing off tax increases like pellets from a BB gun on anything that moves.
The Democrats represent Lucy, and the voters are Charlie Brown, and that football is going to get yanked away every single time. It always has been, and it always will be. There's simply no excuse for anyone to vote Democrat just because they do their stale "moderate" routine.
On the other hand, I'm not sure that the desire for genuinely moderate politicians runs that deep. I have no problem assuming that the majority of donk voters in Northern Virginia got exactly what they wanted.
"You don't understand, he's a moderate Democrat! He won't take away your civil rights and property, he'll just let other less moderate Democrats do it!"
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how we're constantly told doing conservative stuff is electoral suicide yet so many pols start sounding like Reagan to be elected.
