We've written before about Barack Obama's presidential center in Chicago.
I wasn't kind with my headline, "The Obama Library Is Ugly For a Reason." Not only did it look like a Soviet-style dystopian prison, but then they added words to the outside and made things worse, as my colleague Bob Hoge observed. It's not just ugly visually; it's also ugly because Obama left such a bad and divisive legacy.
Truth to tell, even the Lubyanka doesn't look as ominous and evil as Obama's Salute To Concrete. At least that's what I think. You be the judge.
I cannot figure out how or why that was the design chosen.

That building looks more bizarre every time I see it. Maybe it’s a physical representation of Barack Obama’s mind.
