Bad news

"Supreme Court Strikes Down President Trump’s Executive Order On Birthright Citizenship in 5-4 Decision – Roberts and Amy Coney Barret Side with Liberals".

Amy Coney Barret has turned out to be a catastrophic choice for the Supreme Court. Roberts, too, but that was evident years ago.

  1. Why is it you never see a liberal female judge go rogue?

  2. The way we, and Trump, defended her makes ACB's betrayals all the more infuriating.
    Like W Bush only moreso.

  3. I dunno if I accept this positive view of the decision, but it's worth reading:

  4. I dunno Jeff, I find that guy's reasoning to be flawed. I will admit when folks tell me they're lawyers and know more than others, I am disposed to discount what they say.
He ascribes principle to Roberts and Barret.
Roberts is true to the Uniparty, I'm starting to think Barrett is as well.
In the meantime, China sends folks here to have US citizen children.
That's China's MO anymore, they send enough folks to swamp the natives.
See: Tibet, Vladivostok, Panama and all over sub-Saharan Africa.
There's no victory unless folks get Congress to actually do something useful.

    1. Ascribing principles to either of those "judges" is what makes me leary.

On the other hand, while Schlichter is a lawyer (I've followed his posts for quite a spell), his take on legal matters tends to validated, sooner or later.

On the gripping hand, the odds of any SCOTUS member retiring in the near future are pretty slim.

      So, I dunno.

    2. I did not realize that was Schlichter, but I stand by what I said.
I dealt with lawyers for 12 years at the USPTO, I can count the ones I didn't think were idiots on my thumbs.
Willfull ignorance and weaponized obtuseness are their stock in trade.

    3. No argument. I knew even fewer non-idiot lawyers during my time in the feds.

  5. Meanwhile, your Supreme Court has also ruled that the states can keep boys who think they're girls out of women's sports in schools that rely on government funding.
Funny how they can recognise one group of invaders but not the other.

  6. On balance, I like Kurt Schlichter, but I do get tired of him reminding us constantly that he's a lawyer, I don't like being told to "calm down" (for about the third time in the last ten days; that's my feminine side, I guess), and too much of his stuff is just pep rally energy. It's necessary to keep people motivated, sure, but don't tell me s**t sandwiches are good for us.
