"After horrific Belfast migrant knife attack, U.K. officials think the problem is X".
If your own government provides constant examples of its view of the native born as second-class citizens, then the only reason for obeying the law becomes fear of incarceration. That, I believe, is very much a "low trust" society in which the institutions deserve nothing but contempt - and ultimately extreme pushback, up to and including overthrow. The coming paroxysm of rage will be something the elites cannot control; nonetheless, the blame for the violence will lie at their door. A stance of suicidal empathy for unassimilable outsiders, and complete disinterest in one's native culture and traditions and even in the lives and welfare of native-born citizens, represents an incompatibility that cannot persist forever - nor, may it please God, for very much longer.
We’re at the stage now where beheadings are regrettable, but tweets are unforgivable.
